WOW Dumaguete

"The City of Gentle People"

Dumaguete City, the capital of Negros Oriental, while a wonderful place to visit by itself, is also the perfect jump-off point to surrounding islands, towns, and cities. Whether it's dolphin and whale watching in Bais Bay, or diving in Apo Island, or climbing Mount Kanlaon, find it all in here!

And truly, you can find it all here......this was an amazing trip =) all the beautiful beaches, underwater scenery, rock formations, food trip galore as in all kinds of food from Pinoy seafoods to Italian pizza and pasta to Persian food plus of course all the sweets like sans rival and they have a lot of coffee shops, not to miss also the Silliman University.

our home for the weekend before the conference...
clean, affordable with free coffee and wifi, friendly people, most of the guests are divers, it's a backpackers inn

this is our room, can accommodate a big group, like ours...with their dorm type double deck beds

interesting things inside...sort of collection that turned into wall decor

the lobby =) posing while waiting for our ride to Apo Island (first stops in this long trip to Negros Oriental)

transportation around the City but you will enjoy walking around as there are so many interesting things to see...and the place is so small that you can roam around by "kadilakad".

typical sights along Rizal Boulevard....their version of Bay walk in Manila Boulevard although theirs is fresher and relaxing =)

the heart of the City, Silliman University

the Dumaguete belfry at night

Park not just for kids for adults also.....

Kaon ta! first among the many food we tasted...Chicken Inasal

then seafood galore in Hayahay or Labas restaurant....we had talaba, crabs, squid...YUMMY!!!
And as that sign says (photo above), we truly went back to Hayahay not just twice I guess!

we also tried sans rival sweets and coffee

the crepe and imported beer of Italia restaurant

imported beer again and pizza at Why Not Pizza restaurant... why not?!
we also visited Persian pallet for Persian food, also YUMMY!!!!

Then before going out of Negros we visited the Negros Oriental capitol =) just like our photo in Negros Occidental! Truly WOW Dumaguete trip this is! next....
