Here's an account of our Taiwan travel to visit Tyogon, sometime in May 2019 ito.

Day 0 - Nagpahatid kami kay Ferdie sa Terminal 2, siempre kasama ko ay mga madam kaya di kami commute =P, around 5PM ang aming flight to Taoyuan Airport sa Taipei yun.

Then around 8PM nasa Taipei na kami, nag via Klook kami ng 5 Day SimCard, yan ang aming connection habang nasa Taiwan. Bumili na din kami ng IC Card-Easy para naman yan sa mga MRT/Integrated Circuit cards, for byahe-byahe around Taipei. We booked our accommodation via Agoda at sa "Cheers Boutique Hotel" kami nag-stay, siempre nga mga madam ang kasama, kaya may kaon din kami sa Taoyuan Airport (pre-booked din yan via Klook).

And dahil hindi pa kami ng proper dinner, after naming maka-settle sa hotel eh binisita na namin ang Ningxia Night market, we had noodle soup and dumplings. Lights off!

Day 1 - this is the official 1st day, kasi gala day today. At dahil nga lost in translation dito sa Taiwan, we decided to book for a group tour na lang, of course via Klook (gamit na gamit ko si Klook sa trip na 'to ah). For PhP 1, 640.00 patol na patol kami for a gala, kaon sa hotel, lunch included at mga entrance sa mga pupuntahan. 

So eto na nga ang aming mga larawan for Day 1 gala. We visited the Northeast Coast Scenic area.

At eto na nga, ang aming first stop for this tour: Nanya Rock Formations. Chronicles of Nanya =P ito daw Nanya rock formation is geological formation at nasa Northeastern Taiwan, sa coastline ng Nanya kaya yan ang pangalan nya. Known for unique and striking rock formation na na-shape by natural forces over a million of years. Ang mga rock formation dito is primarily composed of sedimentary rocks, with sandstone at they have been weathered and eroded by wind, water, and other environmental factors kaya may mga kakaiba silang shapes and patterns. Hinulma ng panahon kumbaga.

Second stop, Bitou fishing port, located inside the western bay of Bitou Cape in the Rufiang District of New Taipei City. Sampans (small boats) of Bitou fishing port are engaged in catching Bigfin reef squids, not sold in the fish market but sold in nearby seafood restaurants. Hindi kami nakatikim nyan =(

After dito sa fishing port, we head to Fulong beach for our free lunch but the entrance to the Fulong beach is our own cost (malamang hindi namin yan pinatulan). Hindi ko na marecall ang free lunch pero ang alam ko nakapag-try kami ng stinky tofu (though hindi sya ganun ka-stinky naman), typical baon daw kasi ng fisher folks ang aming lunch. At para pampatunaw ng kinain, we went around the Waiao tourist center at ito ang aming mga nakita.

yang naka-orange, sya ang aming tour guide (hindi ko maintindihan ang name nya kaya di ko na tinandaan), kami ang madalas nyang tingnan pag nagsasalita sya, kasi kami ang nag-e-english, yung mga kasabay kasi namin ay hindi mga English speaking nations (pero may mga translated according to their language naman na audio).

Next, for our 3rd stop sa tour na ito, Sandiaojiao Lighthouse, actually Santiago Lighthouse yan, ewan  ba't napakadaming letters na nung napapaskil ang name =P. Tinatawag itong "Eye of Taiwan" at ang Sandiao ay ang Taiwan translation ng Santiago (ayun!) =) thank you kay Taiwan Tourism Bureau for that information.

Down to our 4th stop, the Beiguan Tidal Park aka Lancheng Park, is a coastal park located in Toucheng township. Dati daw itong military outpost kaya may mga old canyon na naka-display din dito, para naman syang Corregidor natin.

Beiguan Tidal Park features amazing rock formations, kagaya ng tinatawag nilang "tofu block rock formation" ito daw ay hinulma ng panahon, with further weathering cracked surface formed a pattern of squares which resembles a slab of tofu, ayan, mukha nga bang tofu?

nakakatuwa din ang mga ganitong Jurassic trees at mahusay ang ginawa nilang naglalagay ng pahingahan under it pero di nadidisturb yung malamang mga century old trees na ito, yung ang trees ang century old ha, hindi yung mga nasa picture =p

The famous "A Thread of Sky" or a ray of sky, this is a fissure in a huge rock shrouded by trees and plants, under it is wide enough for 2 people to stand together for photo op and the higher it goes the narrower it gets, anyways, ito na sya, tingnan mo na lang

at paglabas mo naman sa makipot pero amazing na daan na yan, ito naman ang bubungad sa'yo, the sea is calling, we did not heed hahaha wala kaming pan swimming =P

Eh di ba nga garrison ito noong unang panahon, yun daw ay para ma-prevent ang mga pirates and bandits from entering Yilan, pero ngayon makikita mo na lang ang mga ancient cannon facing the ocean as display. 

at ang island na nakikita natin jan ay ang "Guishan Island" or the turtle mountain island, stratovolcano yan pero pwedeng mag-day tour visit for beautiful sea cliffs, hiking, lake, abandoned village, military tunnels and may whales din daw na nakikita

sabi nga sa websites, you can also watch trains passing at ayan na nga, naaliw ang Marya ng makakita ng train =)

At dahil may magandang cafe dito, na overlooking everything, siempre kasama din sya sa tour, sya ang pang-end, dito kanya-kanyang gastos. Para naman itong NAC natin dito sa LB, though mas malawak at beach ang nakikita hindi lake pero maganda pareho. O syasya, tara na't magkape kina Mr. Brown Castle.

Wala akong kuha sa loob, andami kasing tao at aligaga kami sa pag-order, imaginin nyo na lang na ang starbucks ay nasa loob ng castle, ganun sya but pinalaki and there's more kasi hindi lang kape, may gelato corner, at iba pang pwedeng bilhin, masarap naman ang kape at pastries na niorder namin, madaming whiskey barrel na naka-display, not sure if may whiskey bar din. At kahit madaming tao, ang spacious nya sa loob at andami ding pwedeng pwestohan sa labas, around the castle or under the trees, kagaya nyang nasa babang larawan.

Balikan natin ang sabi ng wall nila "The journey is what brings us happiness not the destination" at masasabi kong na-enjoy namin ang journey dahil sa friendly na guide at informative din sya, the scenic view along the way at ang comfortable din ng sasakyan, pero hindi lang ang journey, pati ang destinations, we enjoyed lahat ng pinuntahan namin and this is just day 1. 

And that ends our first day of gala in Taipei, but wait may night gala din on our own na, para mag-dinner, ito sya oh.....
